Freizeit, designed by Lewis Macdonald, is a Neo Grotesque typeface that pays homage to the mid-century classics like Universe, Neue Haas Grotesk, and Folio, while also drawing insp iration from earlier sans serif designs. Featuring strictly horizontal or vertical terminals, modern proportions, and closed apertures, Freizeit firmly belongs to the Neo Grotesque genre. However, it distinguishes itself with a moderate amount of contrast and a slight angle of stress in certain places.
