Loose ring bits enable the mouthpiece to rotate freely, which is preferred by some horses that use their tongue to move the bit. In the center of the mouthpiece, the small peanut-s haped French link lays flat across the tongue and provides more mobility than a single-jointed mouthpiece. Some horses may prefer the feel of a French link and go lighter in it, with less leaning on the bit. With 55 mm rings. Each side of the bit is perfectly balanced to assure total comfort and response.
