Please note French manufacturers gradually started adopting the British BSA threading system in the early 1980's. There was not a specific changeover date and some bikes still had French threading as late as 1984. The only way to be sure is to remove the existing bottom bracket cups. If they are both right hand threaded then you have a French threaded bike.
