If the toes of your shoes are getting worn out, French tips (AKA toe plates) are the way to go. It's a quick and simple process—we'll cut out a notch at the tips of the sole and insert a metal plate that will keep your soles from wearing down so fast. People often ask, "Won't I hear the clicking while I walk?" The answer is no (that is, unless you choose to walk on your tip toes all day). The metal plate is countersunk in the sole, so, rest assured, there won't be any noise. We offer 3 options: Lulu Tips: These are the silver half-circle tips. We have a few sizes, ranging from 2''-3'', so measure the tips of your soles to make sure this is the right option. If they don't fit, you will have to choose the Custom Tip Option. Triumph Toe Plates: These are brass plated and don't go straight across, so once you walk a little bit, you will see the steel underneath. If you want solid brass, choose the Custom Tip Option. Custom Tips: These are designed to fit any size and shape tip. We start with a solid brass plate 1/8'' thick, shape it to size, and drill out the holes. *Please note: these prices are based on new or like new shoes and boots. If your soles are worn down too much, they will require a resole before installing the toe plates.
