Mint has a habit of seeming medicinal (think toothpaste or cleaners) and almost entirely masculine, hence its common appearance in fougéres. But Freskomenthe bucks the trend with i ts woody and slightly fruity undertone (in the direction of black currant and berries). Its agrestic and woody facets make it more of a dried mint leaf material. It is longer lasting that peppermint oil and able to stand up to some fairly harsh aroma chemicals making it ideal for functional perfumery. Use it with lavender and dihydromyrcenol in place of peppermint oil. It combines exceedingly well with floralozone when you're seeking a cold effect. Show more
