Northern quoll The quoll is one of many distinct small marsupials endemic to Australia. The northern quoll is Australia’s smallest quoll and, like its southern cousins, is nocturna l. They are carnivores with opportunistic tendencies, gobbling whatever is readily available. Unfortunately, in recent years, this has included cane toads, which are toxic when eaten. Predation by feral cats, habitat fragmentation and loss and cars have added to the loss of these cute little bush dwellers. As a result, they are endangered, with populations declining rapidly.
