The SmallBox is a 50 Watt, foot switchable 2 Channel amp that features a British Plexi style voicing on the first channel and the much loved Friedman high gain distortion on the second channel. Each channel has separate Gain and Volume controls with a shared 3 Band EQ and FX Loop. This is a great and simple way to give you two great tones with easy access at your feet. The SmallBox is very responsive to the guitar volume control. The first channel can clean up very well using the volume control on the guitar, ranging from clean to crunch to that classic Plexi Growl just with the use of the guitar volume. The second channel is a Friedman Crunch Distortion power house, great for screaming leads and crunchy rhythmic rock! This hand crafted in the USA combo features beautiful Tolex encasing tongue and groove Baltic Birch construction built to withstand the rigors of the road. At the heart of the Small Box combo is a 16 ohm, 12” Celestion G12M Creamback speaker which delivers the bass, mid response and signature sound you would expect from a Friedman amp. This amp also takes pedals of all kinds very well. Boosts, overdrives, phasers, flangers, tremolos and wahs run great through the front end, while time based pedals like delays or rack units run great through the transparent FX Loop.
