The debut eponymous album from Hertford electro-shoegaze three-piece Friendly Fires joins acts such as M83 and Asobi Seksu in taking established genres and making them palatable fo r the nu-rave generation. Taking Prince and the Kompakt label as prominent influences, this release shows the band to be a diverse bunch, while the production talents of Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Babyshambles, Maximo Park) keep things slick for the first single, 'Jump In The Pool'.
