CollectA are adorable, authentic miniatures and have been sculpted by experts to achieve the most realistic look possible. Individually hand crafted in vinyl and handpainted, these fun figurines are virtually unbreakable and so realistic. The Breyer by CollectA Horse Collection is sculpted by noted equine sculptor Deborah McDermott. Deborah is noted for being able to accurately capture the anatomy and breed characteristics of every horse that she sculpts. Her happy horses are full of expression and life! The Friesian is a horse breed originating in Friesland in north Netherlands. As use in agricultural pursuits declined, the Friesian became popular for recreational use both in harness and under saddle. Often you will see Friesians in the dicipline of dressage, or in harness pulling traditional carriages designed for Friesian horses called a "sjees". The horse has fluid, elegant and suspended gaits which are emphasized by feathering on the lower legs, a fine mane and beautiful, long tail. This is a horse of luxurious and proud appearance, full of personality, honest, and eager to work. Age 3+ | 6.1"L x 4.9"H Show more
