Behind the Art This painting depicts the view from one of my favourite places on earth, Keats Island, BC. Looking across the waters to Gibsons, Sunshine Coast, “Front Field” is a p lace of deep healing and refuge. It sits on the property of Keats Camps, where I spent the best summers of my life serving. These lands are sacred. “Front Field” is a place of peace, joy, and comfort. Since the camp's establishment a hundred years ago, it has been where so many have come to sit and connect with themselves, others, and with God. On this particular evening, overlooking the sun-kissed hilltops and golden fields, I could not help but stand and stare, captivated by the beauty of Creation and the goodness in our world.
