Frontispiece - The World, Surrounded by the Emblematic Figures of Europe, Asia, Africa & AmericaA richly engraved image of the world with female caricaturizations for each of the m ajor continents. Sitting on top of the world overseeing are Europe and Asia (quite symbolic), while below on either side are the symbols of Africa, with elephant headdress, and South America with bow and arrows and a feather plume headdress.Condition is very good with some marginal repairs and a close top margin.
