The Summit pack has its roots in European mountaineering. A climber would bring an extra pack on an extended climb and use it to carry just the essentials on the ascent to the summit during a mountain climb. The Boulder Junction is an upgraded version of the popular Summit pack design. The Boulder Junction Summit pack is slightly larger than the classic Summit pack making it perfect for day hikes, traveling and over night trips. The Boulder Junction has all the same features as the Classic Summit pack it also boast some new features for added functionality. The pack can be compressed and expended using the side mounted cord system. The Boulder Junction also offers a quick access pocket with a heavy duty zipper and double layered canvas.
