Berries are sweet and large. Plants are vigorous and productive. Can be mowed to the ground after dormancy and fruits can be harvested in the following year on primocane stems. Pla nts appear to have some resistance to Japanese beetle. Bird damage is somewhat naturally mitigated by the hanging flower heads, but it's wise to net the plants before fruit ripens in July. Best pollinator: other elderberry varieties. Show more
