Sinamay fabric, probably the most used material for creating many millinery creations hats and fascinators. This fabric made from the fine fibres of the abaca tree are hand selected and woven carefully together to form this material. The selection process and careful weaving produces a sinamay with very little flaws, knots and weave faults always found in hand woven sinamay, however the harsh metallic processing can create some flaws and uneven paint distribution. No stiffening has been applied so stiffener will need to be added, it can then be used both in making hats and millinery ideas and also as a trim, the results are truly endless. The openness of the weave gives ease of movement and the ideas are endless with this material. Available in our metallic pallet, this most popular material is sold by the metre and measures 90cm wide. If you require more than one metre we will always supply on continual lengths.
