FSH, Danio RerioThe pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. All of these glycoproteins consist of an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit that confers biological specificity. This protein is encoded by a fusion of the mature follitropin subunit beta (residues 17 - 130) and glycoprotein hormones alpha chain (residues 24 - 117) linked by a (gggs)4 peptide. It contains a N-terminal Strep-tag. The protein was over-expressed in HEK293 cells and purified to homogeneity. The calculated molecular weight of recombinant Danio rerio FSH is 27.6 kDa. Production platform: This product has been produced in HEK293 cells using the rPEx® recombinant protein production platform.
