In a tube furnace, thermal blocks primarily function to localize heat concentration around the furnace tube, preventing excessive heat from escaping to the surrounding components l ike the furnace casing and flanges, thus ensuring a more uniform temperature distribution within the tube and protecting critical seals from damage due to extreme heat; essentially acting as a heat shield and maintaining the integrity of the furnace system by minimizing thermal stress on the surrounding parts.
