Universal Ascender Compatibility This footloop is designed to work with all ascenders on the market, giving climbers flexibility to integrate it into their preferred SRT system. Two-Strap Adjustable System The system includes an upper strap and a lower strap. The upper strap is partly elastic and uses a metal buckle to adjust length, while the lower strap also uses a metal buckle to adjust both strap length and foot loop length. Upper Strap Setup The upper strap is connected to the knee ascender with a girth hitch on the side of the smaller loop. It is then passed over the shoulder, clipped to the back of the harness using a suitable carabiner and adjusted to suit the climber. Lower Strap Setup The lower strap is connected to the knee ascender with a girth hitch on the side of the black loop. Depending on the user’s setup, the foot loop can be tied directly around the shoe or attached with a suitable carabiner before being adjusted and secured to the foot.
