Synchro Spring Ring from the mainshaft synchroniser assembly of the R380 five-speed manual gearbox. The spring ring sits within the synchroniser hub and loads the baulk ring agains t the cone of the gear being selected, matching shaft and gear speeds before the sliding sleeve engages. A weakened spring reduces the pressure applied to the baulk ring and shows as poor synchromesh on the shift. Show more
