Attractive fruit with a pink speckled flush over a yellow-green background. It is also crisp and juicy, with dull white flesh which snaps cleanly. The flavor is predominantly sweet . Fuji is a Japanese variety developed in the 1930’s and is commonly grown commercially. Requires a pollinator.Fuji is a late-ripening apple variety, and is often still hanging on the tree as late as November at our orchard. It needs the long season to ripen fully. We have noticed some biannual cropping on our trees with a heavy harvest one year and a light harvest in alternate years thus thinning the fruit is recommended. Show more
