Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd | S/N: 6cq17771 Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd Digital Bridge Camera - Good Condition | Cult-Classic 6.3MP Super CCD HR Digital Camera with High-Performance Fixed 10.7x Fujinon 28-300mm Equivalent Zoom Lens Introductory Paragraph The Fujifilm FinePix S6000fd (marketed as the FinePix S6500fd in select global territories) is the definitive choice for the street documentarian, low-light enthusiast, and creative archivist who values the gorgeous color science of early digital sensors combined with the immense focal range of a vintage SLR setup. Highly celebrated in the retro digital community, this premium bridge camera utilizes Fujifilm's specialized 6.3-megapixel 1/1.7-inch Super CCD HR sensor paired with a high-fidelity, mechanically linked Fujinon 10.7x optical zoom lens (6.2−66.7mm, providing a versatile 28−300mm full-frame equivalent field of view). Boasting a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 at its wide end, full manual control layouts, and true RAW file capture, this Fujifilm powerhouse delivers the film-like tonal depth, remarkable micro-contrast, and structural honesty required to stand out in a world of sterile smartphone imagery. Key Features Specialized 6.3-megapixel 1/1.7-inch Super CCD HR sensor, highly revered for its organic, film-like color rendering and wide highlight latitude. High-tier Fujinon 10.7x manual zoom lens design, featuring a bright f/2.8-4.9 aperture path and a highly versatile 28-300mm equivalent reach. Dedicated mechanical twist-zoom barrel interface, discarding laggy motorized switches to provide lightning-fast, physical framing precision. Advanced Hardware Face Detection technology (fd), deploying custom internal circuitry to lock focus and balance exposure perfectly for portraits. Full uncompressed RAW file output capability, unlocking deep creative flexibility for modern highlight restoration and detail recovery. High-performance Super Macro focusing setting, allowing the front element to lock focus just 10cm away from close-up floral and texture subjects. Traditional SLR-style form factor and deep handgrip design, distributing weight perfectly to guarantee stable handheld compositions at full telephoto extension. Condition Report Good condition. Body: Shows normal signs of light use, minor superficial cosmetic scuffing on the textured rubberized handgrip wrap, and standard faint bright marks on the rugged matte black polycarbonate outer shell consistent with careful recreational travel. The battery door locks tightly and the electronic contacts are clean. Sensor/Optics: The 6.3MP Super CCD sensor is clean and functions perfectly. The large front Fujinon objective element is pristine and clear; completely free from internal lens fungus, heavy haze, optical separation, cleaning marks, or deep structural scratches. The 2.5-inch rear LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder illuminate cleanly. Mechanics/Electronics:Fully operational. The mechanical zoom ring rotates smoothly and evenly across its full 10.7x travel, the manual focus ring tracks properly, the pop-up flash fires reliably, and the camera reads and writes data perfectly onto traditional xD-Picture Card media. Specialist Note "The FinePix S6000fd is an absolute cult-classic gem from the golden era of sensor development, and it remains a massive favorite today because of Fujifilm's iconic 6th-generation Super CCD HR chip. Unlike modern high-megapixel CMOS cameras that can often look clinical, this low-density, larger-format CCD renders skin tones, deep forest greens, and golden hour skies with a painterly, saturated warmth that feels incredibly reminiscent of vintage Fujichrome slide film. What makes this camera a true joy in the field is its physical mechanics—the Fujinon zoom is completely manual, meaning you turn the rubberized barrel with your hand just like a real DSLR lens, completely eliminating the sluggish electronic power-zoom motors that plaque other vintage compacts. Presenting in beautiful, fully working condition, it is a highly satisfying, transparent creative tool that forces you to slow down, compose intentionally, and enjoy the pure soul of early digital photography."
