Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs or fixed circulars Detailed row-by-row instructions for each size make this pattern super easy to follow! You can also dip into Linda's free knit technique videos for additional help with the techniques that are used in this pattern! NOTE: The grams listed for each size are written for Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran, as this yarn is perfect for this pattern. You can however use any aran/US Worsted yarn that recommends 5mm (US 8) needles with the stocking stitch tension listed below. I look forward to seeing the yarns and colours that you choose! TensionStocking Stitch on 5mm (US8) needles18 sts / 24 rows = 10cms/4 inches Sizes0-3 months (3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-9 years, 10-12 years, Teen/Adult S, Adult M/L) Hats look best when stretched onto your head. The width sizes below give an indication of the flat off-the-needle width of the main hat, and the stretch that is possible. The hats can stretched further, but I would suggest going up a size if you need additional width for your size/age.
