The 10 bolt doesn't hang as low as the 14 bolt giving much better ground clearance If you have a GM SUV, the full float axles never came in a coil spring configuration. So swapping a full float axle in requires extensive fabrication of many mounts and brackets. This kit prevents needing to do all that. Also this kit uses a front style hub assembly that can be used on the front of the truck as well. So only a single spare hub assembly needs to be carried that can be used on any wheel of the truck
