An original, mid-century modern serene moonlit landscape with a barn, executed in oil on canvas. Swedish painter Olja Börje Nilsson-Hugo (1913-1987) went outside on a moonlit night in 1948 to capture this serene full moon scene, using firm vertical and diagonal brushstrokes, in a typical mid-century expressionist manner. The painting is cleaned and the complementary wood frame is restored and updated. Both painting and frame show some age-related wear and tear, which largely contribute to their charm. The best way to see this is through the photos, so study them because they form the description.
