Eau de Parfum Intense Fundamental smells yeasty, fatty, dirty and gorgeously indulgent. Shifting from the bread and melon hit of white wine to a more lolling, post coital silence a nd flecks of falling make-up and smeared lipstick. The central personality is the Garganega grape used predominantly in the production of Soave, imparting an odour of furred gooseberries, apricot compote, damp artesian wells and brioche. There is a whiff of noble rot, botrytis cinerea, the strange benevolent grey mould that adds an eccentric sweetness to certain wines. Beeswax, leather and iris bolster the vintage mood, and yet the scent feels futuristic and compellingly glorious.
