Core writers Jack Tempchin, Jules Shear and Richard Stekol also fed songs to Eagles, Cyndi Lauper and Bangles. Tempchin’s “Slow Dancing” appears here before Johnny Rivers’ 1977 hit version “Swayin’ to the Music (Slow Dancin’).” Shear’s “So Easy to Begin” later showed up on albums by Olivia Newton-John and Art Garfunkel; good for fans of Eagles or Jackson Browne.
