All fur required to make these available here! $89.95 each Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery Full Fur Bomber Hat Supplies ● Prime pelts (to ensure softness and longevity professional garment/soft tanned pelts are recommended) ● Pelt size and quantity needed will vary greatly based on species and mitten size ● General Guidelines for Adult Large Hat: ● Beaver 1 XL pelt ● Coyote 2 large pelts ● Otter 2 XL pelts ● Raccoon, Fox: 3 large pelts ● Buckskin or other soft leather (moose, or upholstery cowhide) for forehead flap and ties approximately 1 square foot needed ● Lining fabric: polyester fleece is recommended for the pattern, approximately ½ yard ● Non-stretch fabric for sewing test hat, upholstery fabric works well, 1 yard. ● Sharp blade for cutting hide: Furrier knife, scalpel, Xacto blade, utility knife ● Extra blades ● Thread ● Hand sewing thread: polyester or nylon upholstery weight thread, such as Coats & Clark Upholstery Thread, bonded nylon size #46 or similar ● Fur Machine sewing thread: whatever works well in your machine. I like New Bedford Glazed Cotton size 80 for beaver and otter, size 100 for coyote, and size 120 for fox. ● Home sewing machine thread: All purpose polyester thread - if using a home sewing machine for sewing linings.
