This is a weighted version of a muddler fly and can mimic sculpins and a variety of aquatic and terrestrial insects. The tail and wings are tied with natural rabbit fur. The heads are made of alternately tied dyed elk fur and natural roe deer fur. When fishing for salmon with this fly, slow down the presentation a bit. Let it swing, you can twitch it a bit and strip in slowly. Don’t rush to make another cast as it will be frequently taken on the end of your drift.
