The Fuscotaenia Cichlid (Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus), also known as the Fusco Hap, is a large, striking predator from Lake Malawi, prized in the aquarium trade for its bold markings and impressive size. Size: Males can reach up to 25 cm (9.8 in), females around 20 cm (7.9 in) Appearance: Males develop a brilliant blue body with red finnage. Females are silvery brown with horizontal dark stripes. Behavior: Ambush predator that feeds on smaller cichlids. Tank size: Large aquariums are required due to their size and predatory nature.
