This dramatic, fused glass 'Splash Bowl' is handmade by Oriel Hicks on the Isles of Scilly using recycled glass. It as been crafted using layers of clear glass together with other elements to create bubbles and give the impression of water. Oriel has worked with glass as a medium for thirty years and is inspired by the unique light, colour and natural environment of her island home. She experiments with many different techniques and processes. Oriel is renowned not only for her fused glass but also for Tiffany, traditional leaded lights and etching and her work is constantly evolving. Each dish is individually handmade so there may be differences between the one created and the image shown. We often have these bowls in stock but they are sometimes made to order.
