“Pal Muse Seasons M439” is a dashing and unique musical motion wall clock from Japan. This is the Japanese Citizen-branded version of the American “CTS Mirage” Rhythm clock. The difference between the American and Japanese version is that the Japanese version plays songs based on the date and season, hence the name! Some specific days play special melodies, and others play songs based on the season. There is also an option to play all of the melodies, no matter the season (except for the special melodies played on specific dates, which won’t play at all). The “Pal Muse Seasons M439” is finished in a stunning light wooden frame. It also features a constantly-moving rotating pendulum beneath the face, and a decorative wheel that rotates above the clock face, both of which feature Swarovski crystals. When the hour comes or the demonstration button is pressed, multi-colored lights flash along to the introduction melody, and then one of 25 total songs play as the lights flash along. The lights will flash with all colors if the seasons mode is off, or will flash one color if seasons mode is on. Since this clock was produced for the Japanese market, it has a radio-controlled movement and only works on Japan’s radio waves. So, the time and date will need to be set manually by pressing and holding the buttons on the back. Click here for a video tutorial specifically for the “Seasons” models.
