Locking Nut - M8 flanged nut with a nylon insert. The nylon collar deforms around the bolt thread as the nut is tightened, gripping it so the joint resists loosening under vibratio n and suspension movement. The integral flange spreads the clamp load across the mounting face, so a separate washer is not required. Used on damper and suspension mountings and on general chassis fixings. A nylon-insert nut is intended for single use - renew it rather than refitting the original, as the locking effect is reduced once the nut has been run off the thread. Show more
