Based upon the now standard issue Russian AK-12 rifle, G&G's GK12 is a full size replica of this imposing assault rifle. It sports many unique features, including pre-cocking for faster trigger response, 3 and 5 round burst, quick change spring and automatic cut off on detection of an empty magazine. Like most AK variants, the battery (not included) is housed underneath the top cover. The top cover can be removed completely, exposing the battery harness and battery compartment. The battery lies flat on the top of the gearbox. The GK12 is very much a modern, tactical AK variant, with a huge 20mm top rail for scope and accessory attachment, further forward positioned side rails and black polymer stock and handguard. Lots of metal parts including the buffer tube, (steel) upper and lower receiver, fire selector, bolt handle, sling loops and outer barrel assembly. Internally it has a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, integrated MOSFET and electronic trigger unit (ETU). it is programmable for 3 or 5 round burst. semi and fully automatic fire. The GK12 also sports a unique automatic cut off feature, where the gun will stop shooting when an empty magazine is detected. This feature works regardless of the brand of magazine used (IE, you are not stuck using a proprietary magazine for this to work). The stock is fully adjustable for length and is foldable for compact firing or transport. It also sports a quick change spring system; just remove the top cover, the fold the stock open and use the dummy gas adjustment knob as a tool for removing the spring guide. The 120rd magazine that comes with the GK12 is essentially unique to the gun; we recommend the G&G branded magazine for optimal performance.
