Teak Room Divider by E-Gomme (later G-Plan)Designed by Victor Wilkins | ‘Brasilia’ Range, c.1964–1972 A highly desirable and increasingly rare teak room divider designed by Victor Wilkins for E-Gomme as part of the iconic Brasilia range. Produced for a relatively short period between 1964 and 1972, these dividers are far less commonly found than examples from the Librenza range. This striking piece remains in excellent original, unrestored condition, retaining all of its authentic mid-century character. The design features beautifully contrasting solid teak scalloped door and drawer handles, removable shelving, three well-proportioned drawers, a double cupboard, and a drop-down drinks cabinet—offering generous and versatile storage.Raised on a solid teak swooping base, the divider has a strong architectural presence while maintaining the elegance synonymous with the Brasilia collection. The rear is fully finished and detailed, allowing the piece to be positioned freely within a room as a true space divider, or placed equally well against a wall.The teak has developed a rich, warm golden patina over time—something that can only be achieved through age and careful use.
