The Go-NoGo Gauge tool ensures the crimp tool functions correctly before use and after a certain period. Periodic gauging is recommended to maintain accurate calibration and performance. Applicable Tools HDT-48-00/JRD-HDT-48 Manual crimp tool YJQ-W2DTQ Pneumatic crimp tool Gauge Details of G454 GO: 0.0330 inch (0.84 mm) NOGO: 0.0385 inch (0.98 mm) Selector Setting Set the tool selector knob to position SEL.1.0/16. Gauging Instructions "GO" Gauging Procedure Fully Close the Tool: Operate the tool to the fully closed position. Maintain Pressure: Maintain firm hand pressure on the tool handles. Insert "GO" Gauge: Insert the "GO" gauge end between the indenter tips. The gauge must pass freely. "NO-GO" Gauging Procedure Fully Close the Tool: Operate the tool to the fully closed position. Maintain Pressure: Maintain firm hand pressure on the tool handles. Insert "NOGO" Gauge: Attempt to insert the "NOGO" gauge end. The "NOGO" gauge may partially enter the indenter opening but must not pass completely through. Gauge Maintenance Storage: After use, place the gauge into the special toolbox to prevent bending deformation of the gauge pin. Cleaning: Regularly wipe the gauge pin with antirust oil to ensure the surface remains clean. Importance of Gauging Periodic gauging of the crimp tool ensures it maintains the settings and tolerances as it was manufactured or calibrated. Use the appropriate Go/No-Go Gauge and follow the instructions for accurate gauging.
