What You Get A branching burst of rigid red architecture that looks like a tiny reef galaxy. We collect two seasonal species of Galaxaura from Florida waters, each showing natural variation in color and branch shape. The calcified, tubular branches form compact pom-pom clusters with lighter tips, creating instant three dimensional texture on rockwork. Expect hues that shift with light and depth, from deep red and pink to warmer orange red tones, with some pieces appearing more rounded and others more open or branched. Why It Is Algaesome Highlights: Living sculpture with crisp, branching form and pale branch tips that stand out in reef lighting. Palatability: Low palatability. Most herbivorous fish and inverts ignore the calcified tissue, which helps it last as a display feature. Care: Prefers medium to bright light and moderate flow to keep its branches clean.
