In the far reaches of the Transbaal Empire, the Angel Brigade—a supposedly elite military unit equipped with specialized Emblem Frame starships—is officially tasked with searching the galaxy for dangerous, ancient artifacts known as "Lost Technology." In reality, the eccentric five-woman crew spends very little time accomplishing their mission. Led by the perennially lucky Milfeulle Sakuraba alongside weapons maniac Forte, gambling addict Ranpha, quiet mystic Vanilla, and costumed strategist Mint, the Brigade continuously stumbles from one bizarre mishap to another. Guided by their long-suffering commander Volcott and a foul-mouthed talking plush doll named Nomad, the Angels transform every routine mission into an absolute storm of space-faring absurdity. Produced by the legendary Studio Madhouse (Trigun, Cardcaptor Sakura) and directed by Morio Asaka (Chobits, My Love Story!!), Galaxy Angel is a quintessential early-2000s sci-fi gag comedy. Ditching the dramatic visual novel source material in favor of fast-paced, western-cartoon-style slapstick, the series is famous for its 15-minute bite-sized episodes—each whimsically titled after food dish recipes.
