One of the most striking nano fish in the hobby: a deep blue-green body scattered with pearl spots, and fins flushed with red. Small, peaceful and best kept in numbers where the males display to one another constantly.FeedingVery small foods only. Crushed micro-pellets, powdered flake, frozen cyclops and baby brine shrimp. The mouth is tiny, so anything larger simply gets ignored.CompatibilityPeaceful but easily intimidated. Best in a species tank or with other nano fish. Keep in groups of eight or more, ideally with more females than males.Behaviour and personalityMales colour up dramatically and spar harmlessly with one another in front of females. Shy in open tanks; confident and constantly visible in planted ones. Before you buyDense planting is not decorative here, it is functional. In a bare tank these fish hide and lose their colour. Not suitable as tankmates for anything large enough to swallow them.
