Gama Offset EWG 100Pk by Gamakatsu For anglers facing the challenge of thick, heavy plastic baits, Gamakatsu's Extra Wide Gap hooks are the perfect solution. These hooks are expertly designed for use with larger plastics that are difficult to rig on standard worm hooks. When using a traditional Texas-rig, the hook point is embedded through the bait, and with a bite, the plastic is pushed down, exposing the hook point. If your bait is too thick, it can prevent the hook from penetrating deeply into the fish's mouth, risking missed catches or incomplete hook sets. The Extra Wide Gap design overcomes this by ensuring more of the hook point is exposed, increasing your chances of a secure catch. These hooks are ideal for big creature baits, hefty Senkos, and oversized worms with robust bodies. Gamakatsu ensures that the point of these hooks aligns perfectly with the eye, optimizing the force of your hook set to drive it through the bait and into the fish’s mouth with precision. This design has made them some of the most popular bass worm hooks available. Extra Wide Gap design for thick plastic baits Ideal for Texas-rig with creature baits and large worms Hook point aligned with eye for effective penetration Increases secure catch rate by maximizing hook exposure Renowned for their popularity among bass fishing enthusiasts
