In the mid ‘70s we were blown away by the first arcade video games with basic two-dimensional graphics. Soon they could be run via a console on your own telly, and with only three TV channels at the time, to be able to add an arcade game to your TV was unbelievable. They started with a table-tennis theme, notable for its basic ‘blip’ sound effects, and then added other games and accessories including a hand gun and shooting game which I loved, even though its accuracy was a bit ‘hit and miss’.
