It was Spring and our design table was filled with drawings of flowers. And as every garden has a gate we looked for a hemstitch pattern that could frame the collection and act as a companion to all our florals. Garden Gate references a garden trellis but it has an amazing ability to work in many different contexts. You can use it as openwork or you can back it with a colour to match your bedroom scheme or you can use coloured threads to wrap the openwork and then back the openwork with a band of another colour.
