Not a photograph of a plate — the original design drawing for one. Carel Adolph Lion Cachet worked it in blue-grey wash on cream paper in 1874: a garden landscape at the centre, trees and a lawn running back to a pond, ringed by a wide stylised border of leaves and petals. The pencil underdrawing is still visible through the wash. Reproduced on premium canvas in a two-part frame — an outer moulding of natural wood with a weathered grain, and a wide flat charcoal inner section that sets the drawing back from the edge. Glass-free, so it stays light and true to the paper's texture, with paper backing and hanging hardware included. Made in the United States.
