Garland daisy, also known as crown daisy, is a leafy herb native to the Mediterranean that produces lush green foliage topped with cheerful yellow and white flowers. Known as tong ho or tónghāo in China, ssukgat in Korea, tần ô in Vietnam and shungiku in Japan, the garland daisy is a ubiquitous ingredient all across the continent of Asia, where its tender green leaves are frequently chopped and served in stir-fries, stews, and hotpots. Beyond its culinary appeal, the garland daisy is an excellent producer of lovely flowers that are beautiful in the landscape and great for floral arrangements.
