The Garmin Forerunner 35 has long been a favorite among runners for its simple design and clean interface. But after several years on the market, it was time for an upgrade. Garmin ’s new Forerunner 45 is the refresh the entry level running watch needed. Designers gave the new GPS watch a round face instead of the square version used in the previous version. But it sports the same accurate GPS tracking and uncomplicated use that made the 35 stand out. Plus, the new 45 has a wrist-based heart rate sensor built in, so you can monitor your ticker throughout the entire day. In a review of the Garmin Forerunner 45, our runner loved how easy it was to switch in and out of GPS mode and to navigate around the watch’s screens. He also praised the easy-to-read screen and array of features that make it feel like a much more expensive watch. Show more
