This isn't your backyard dandelion, but an Italian heirloom chicory cultivated for tall, leafy greens. Can be grown all season, though warmer temperatures enhance bitterness. Young leaves add texture and bite to salads; mature leaves can be chopped and braised for a healthy, tasty tonic. A great addition to braised mixed greens, the bitter flavor adds an element that is often lacking in our cuisine. A standout from our 2016 Member Trials program! Show more
