Description Before shipping your dry suit to K.A. for repair, please wash your dry suit to remove bodily oils and dirt, unless you choose the option "Yes - wash suit" above. Send your freshly washed KOKATAT brand dry suit or dry top to K.A. for fast, professional neck gasket repair. K.A. will replace your over stretched, worn out, cracked, gummy or torn gaskets with factory original Kokatat brand gaskets. We'll give your other gaskets a free inspection and contact you if we feel it is time to replace them. Items with no sand or maggots that have not been washed with soap and water will add three days for washing and drying before repairs start ($15 extra). Items with noticeable sand, dirt, etc. will be returned at owners expense for cleaning with no repair work done. 2009 and newer dry wear we install Kokatat Neck gaskets the same way Kokatat does with a heat activated adhesive system and the tools that Kokatat uses to weld the gaskets on (no extra layers of old gaskets and no worries about the gasket pulling off). 2008 and older Kokatat dry suits and tops the original gaskets were glued on with Aquaseal, and the standard repair is to cut all but the glued portion of the old one off and glue the new gasket on top of the rim of the old one with Aquaseal (two layers of latex when done). For these items we generally use the standard repair unless the old gasket's flange is in too poor a condition in which case at our discretion we may remove it completely and Aquaseal to the fabric or worst case we may send it to Kokatat to replace the gaskets (allow 4 weeks extra). If you live on the east coast or mid-west, you can expedite the return shipping for this order with our UPS 3-Day Shipping Option at check-out and by sending it to us with expedited shipping. The shipping you pay for at our check out is for us to return your item to you after servicing it. Gasket Sizes Kokatat Neck Gasket Sizes (measure around your neck, do NOT cinch tight): Small: up to 13" Large: 13" and up Purchasing Instructions Select the "Gasket Size" and "Quantity" of gaskets you want us to replace. Also select whether you want K.A. to wash your drysuit when it arrives. Once everything has been selected, click "Add to cart". Note: If you combine the purchase of other items with this service order, we will hold all items for shipment together with your repaired dry suit/dry top after it has been serviced. To have other items shipped separately, place a separate order for your repairs. To add more repair items to your cart (i.e. if you want the neck and wrist(s) replaced), click "Add to cart" and then click "Continue Shopping" to return to the "Dry Suits/Gaskets" page, and add the rest of the repair items to your cart before checking out. Note: we can install either the original size gasket or a different size that fits you better. If your original gasket etc. was too tight or too loose enter this info in the "Comments" box along with your neck size when going through the check-out -- then we can pick the best size gasket for you (see sizing below). To measure your neck circumference, lightly wrap a measuring tape or string around the slimmest part of your neck -- don't pull tight. Shipping/Drop Off Instructions If you ship more than one item to us in the same box, attach a note to each item specifying which type and size gasket(s) you want to be installed on each article. Be sure to adjust the quantity above to account for total quantity to install on all articles. PRINT two copies of your Order Confirmation -- keep one and put the other in the box with the gear you send us. If you don't have a printer or it went on the frizz - write your order confirmation #, name and address on a scrap piece of paper and insert it in the box you send us. WASH your dry suit with soap and allow to dry before sending it to us (see below for details on how to wash). Health codes require that all garments returned for repairs must be laundered. If you did not choose to have K.A. wash your suit and you send us a dirty suit, an additional $15.00 cleaning fee will be added to your repair service for dirty and/or smelly garments shipped to us (or it will be returned without service at the owner's expense), and cleaning will add three days to the repair schedule. When washing a dry suit, use a front loading washing machine with a small amount of liquid detergent, cold wash setting and hang to dry. Dry tops can be washed in top load machine. For dry suits, if you can't use a front loading washing machine, we recommend hand washing dry suit in a tub using the same instructions as above. For Kokatat gear, only men's and women's size Small dry suits and dry tops come with the S neck gasket, all other sizes come with the L neck gasket. However, a lot of women who wear a Kokatat Women's M size dry top or dry suit actually need a S neck gasket. If your neck measurement is less than 13" we recommend the S neck gasket. There is no Medium Kokatat neck gasket, but a S neck gasket can be trimmed to make it fit like a "Medium". If you need a Neck gasket that is smaller than Kokatat's S neck or bigger than even a well trimmed Kokatat L neck, we sell Universal gaskets that you can glue on your Kokatat product (our Universal gaskets are available in both smaller and larger sizes than Kokatat offers), see "Dry Suits/Gaskets and Tools".
