★★★★★ Trusted by businesses across Scotland and the UK — read our reviews. Gate Fold Leaflets Gate Fold Leaflets are the only format in this range that has a moment. Two outer panels fold inward and meet in the middle, so the piece opens like a set of doors onto a three-panel spread. People remember opening one. Printed and finished in-house at our Paisley studio, full colour both sides, from 100 to 5,000 copies. We run these on heavier stock than the rest of the range — 170gsm, 250gsm or a substantial 350gsm silk card — so the finished piece feels as considered as it looks. Who is this for? Use it when the reveal is part of the message. The closed piece gives you two half-width panels to pose a question or set up an image; opening it delivers the answer across a full spread. That sequencing is genuinely persuasive when the content earns it — product launches, venue and wedding packages, premium service tiers, portfolios. It is not the format for a price list. If the content would read just as well on a tri-fold, print a tri-fold and spend the difference on paper. How does this compare to our other folded leaflets? For everyday service leaflets, the A4 Tri-Fold is the versatile default and folds to a rack-friendly 99 x 210mm. A4 Folded to A5 gives you the same folded footprint as a gate fold with wide panels for imagery, at lower cost. For heavy content rather than impact, see Multi-Panel DL. Our decision guide compares all seven. --- Product Specifications • Flat Size: 297mm (w) x 210mm (h)• Folded Size: 148.5mm (w) x 210mm (h)• Panels: 3 per side — 6 pages in total• Quantities: 100 to 5,000 copies• Paper options: 170gsm Silk (medium weight) / 250gsm Silk (light card) / 350gsm Silk (heavy card)• Printed full colour, both sides• Front panels open outward like double doors• Scored and folded, all stocks FSC certified• Printed and finished in-house at our Paisley studio --- Need a different paper, size or quantity? The combinations above are the ones we run most often, chosen because they work — they are not the limit of what we can do. Uncoated and 100% recycled stocks, bespoke trim sizes, matt or gloss lamination, and quantities above 5,000 are all available on request. Larger runs are always worth pricing. Past a few thousand copies the unit cost drops noticeably, so tell us the real quantity you need rather than working from the dropdown. A sheet folded so that the left and right panels turn inward and meet at the centre, like a pair of gates or double doors. Opening them reveals a continuous three-panel spread inside. Because the two door panels must meet without overlapping, each is trimmed marginally under half the sheet width — a detail our template handles. Which paper should I choose? All three options here are silk — a smooth, lightly coated surface with a low sheen that holds colour cleanly without the glare of gloss. The choice is about weight and feel. 170gsm is our lightest gate fold stock and the most economical, with enough body for the doors to hold their shape. 250gsm is a light card and the most popular choice — noticeably more substantial, and the point at which the piece starts to feel premium. 350gsm is a genuine heavy card with real presence; the doors have a satisfying weight to them, and it is the stock to choose when the leaflet is standing in for a brochure. Every stock is FSC certified and scored before folding so the creases stay clean. Our paper stock guide covers the full range, and we're happy to post you samples. What is the lead time for this product? Typical timescale for this product is 2-3 working days from artwork approval. If you have a specific deadline, get in touch — we print in-house, so we can often move a job up the schedule, and we'll tell you honestly if we can't hit your date. What are my delivery options? We send our parcels via courier on a next day service within the UK. If you are in a remote area of the UK, please allow 48hr deliveries. If you are local to us, you can simply click and collect from our studio. Artwork Requirements Please supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF at flat size — 297mm (w) x 210mm (h), not folded size, as a two page file: page 1 the outside, page 2 the inside. Add 3mm bleed around all edges plus trim marks, and keep critical content at least 5mm inside the trim and clear of the fold lines. Images at 300dpi, colours in CMYK. Note that the two door panels are each marginally under half the sheet width so they meet without overlapping. Please don't impose the file yourself — we handle that. Full detail is in our artwork and design guide, and the template below is set up correctly for you. Do you offer a design service? Yes we do. Our in-house graphic designers are available to create artwork to your specific requirements. Simply contact us and we'll come straight back with a quotation. Our team will supply drafts for approval, where you can suggest any tweaks you would like, ahead of print. Design charge: our artwork service is charged at £35 per hour, with the final cost based on the time the project needs. We'll keep you up to date at every stage.
