One end fits over the 5-point plastic nut on rowing gates, and the other end fits the 6-point plastic nuts found on many foot stretchers. The gate end is designed to fit over several brands of gate, including Concept, Martinoli & Empacher. The stretcher end fits perfectly over foot stretcher nuts to minimise wear and tear on both the foot stretcher and the spanner.
