The design of the table is based on the simple act of bringing people together and is defined by an exposed through-tenon joint - a detail that is structural as much as it is visual. Designer: Magnus Long is a British industrial designer based in London, working within furniture, product and lighting design. A celebrated name in British design, Long was awarded a Design Guild Mark Award in 2015 for his Cross Leg Lounge Chair. Materials & Finishes: The Gather Dining Table Rectangular Oak is made from solid European Oak with a blonde oil finish, transparent resin-filled knots and galvanised steel reinforcement bars. Gather uses timber that is often overlooked by the industry for not being perfectly straight or for containing knots and cracks. Left exposed rather than disguised, these markings vary from piece to piece, giving each table and bench its own grain, colour and character making each piece truly distinctive.
