A four-piece stoneware gathering bowl set by New York ceramicist Bari Moss, glazed on the interior in a soft, hazy sea blue and left in a deep charcoal brown on the outside. The set includes a large round serving bowl and three smaller nesting bowls in graduating sizes, each thrown on the wheel with visible throwing lines that run along the exterior. Pull it out for chips and salsa, vegetables and dip, a charcuterie spread, or anything that calls for a central vessel with a few satellites around it. The contrast between the dark, textured stoneware exterior and the quiet sea blue interior makes the whole set worth putting on the table and leaving there. The three smaller bowls nest together for easy storage when not in use. Sold as a set of four, each set made by hand and slightly different from the next.
