Go with the smaller board if you want easier control while you're learning. Choose the larger one for more stability and room to grow into it. Is this skimboard right for a beginner? Yes, as long as the size matches your weight β this is the perfect place to start. Plenty of intermediate and advanced riders stick with it too, for its light weight, responsiveness, and everyday value. What is the difference between the Gator, Shaka, Koru and Flame? They are the same board β same materials, same build, same quality. They differ in artwork and colour only. Do I need to wax my skimboard? No. There is an all-over grip pad already on the board, so you can take it straight to the water. Where can I use it β can I catch waves, or ride on dry sand? These boards are built for riding close to shore, on the thin layer of water that runs over wet sand. If you are quick enough, catching a wave is fine. They are not made for sand sliding on dry sand. What does the Right Choice Guarantee cover? Every board is covered for 12 months. If something goes wrong in that time, we will replace it at our cost or refund you in full β your choice β and you will not need to send the board back. Do you ship to my country? Our website currently ships within the US. Still not sure which board to choose? We got you. Our website comes with a board size calculator: find your board.
